Project Overview
Ezythemes is an innovative AI transcription tool designed to transform qualitative research—such as focus group discussions and interviews—into actionable insights and compelling presentations. Ezythemes leverages artificial intelligence to uncover hidden trends and consumer preferences that drive business strategies. The platform’s mission is to empower businesses by providing rapid, cost-effective, and precise insights that answer critical business questions, thereby optimizing marketing campaigns, identifying new market opportunities, and enhancing product development. During my internship, I played a key role in helping design and pitch Ezythemes end-to-end to qualitative market researchers.

Problem Space
Market research teams often face significant challenges when converting qualitative data into meaningful, actionable insights. Traditional transcription methods are not only time-consuming and costly but also prone to inconsistencies, which can challenge decision-making processes. These challenges underscore the need for a unified platform that can deliver efficient, reliable, and visually engaging outputs to empower data-driven decisions.

Throughout the product lifecycle I was focused on the following problem:

How might we create a seamless, AI-driven solution that transforms large qualitative datasets into actionable insights and presentations, thereby accelerating market researchers’ decision-making processes and ensuring thorough, data-supported business outcomes?

I developed hands on product experience, integrating user research findings, brand strategy, and technical requirements into a cohesive design framework that guided the development of Ezythemes’ final solution.

The Process

Research

To refine the brand identity for Ezythemes, I conducted 140 user surveys targeting professionals in the market research and analytics space. The primary goal was to evaluate user perceptions of different logo concepts under the theme of productivity that gives you the freedom to do greater things.

1. Logo Preference
“Please select one logo option you prefer with this context in mind.”

2. Interpretation of Productivity
“What do you take away from the one you like—from a context of productivity/productivity that gives you the freedom to do better things?”

3. Emotional Resonance
“What emotion do you feel when you look at the logo from a user standpoint?”

Through these questions, we gathered insights into how color schemes, typography, and iconography influenced users’ perceptions of productivity and innovation. Findings highlighted the importance of a clean, modern aesthetic that conveys both efficiency and possibility. Users resonated most strongly with logo designs that felt inspiring while still projecting clarity and professionalism.

Competitor Analysis
In parallel with user surveys, I performed a secondary research phase to explore other AI-powered market research tools and data visualization platforms. The objective was to identify gaps in the market—specifically, whether similar solutions existed for automating the transcription of focus groups and interviews, and subsequently converting them into actionable insights and presentations. This exploration revealed that while numerous products offer partial solutions (such as automated transcription or analytics dashboards), few integrate these capabilities into a cohesive workflow tailored for market researchers. The combination of user feedback and competitor insights laid the groundwork for Ezythemes’ core design principles, ensuring our brand identity and feature set would stand out in a competitive landscape and align closely with user expectations.

Synthesizing The Research
Bringing together the findings from our user surveys and competitor analysis, we arrived at a clear directive for Ezythemes: deliver a streamlined, AI-driven workflow that seamlessly transforms raw transcripts into polished, actionable insights. The 140 user surveys focused heavily on brand perceptions, revealing a strong preference for visual elements and messaging that evoke freedom, productivity, and forward momentum—values we carried throughout the design. The competitor analysis further underscored the need for an end-to-end solution; users wanted a single platform that could handle transcription, theme extraction, sentiment analysis, and presentation-ready outputs without requiring multiple disjointed tools.

User Flow
From the user’s perspective, simplicity and clarity emerged as top priorities. As a result, the Ezythemes product flow is laid out in intuitive stages.

Home Landing Page
Upon logging in, users immediately see an overview of ongoing projects and have easy access to creating new ones, reflecting the feedback that a concise dashboard interface saves valuable time.
Create New Project
Users are guided through naming the project and specifying initial settings—such as research objectives or key categories—to help the AI transcription tool organize data effectively.
Configure Data
By uploading their voice transcripts or audio files, users kickstart Ezythemes’ AI-based analysis. This stage offers customization options (e.g., language settings, speaker differentiation) to fine-tune the process.
Themes, Focus & Compare
Within these core views, the AI’s actionable insights take shape. Users can deep-dive into emerging themes, compare contrasting viewpoints, and filter out irrelevant data to isolate the most significant findings.
Export
Recognizing that presentations are integral to market research, this final step produces ready-to-use visuals and reports—directly informed by user preferences for prompt, polished deliverables that capture stakeholder attention.

Key Insights
